Schneiderman

Following the publication of Berlinksy in 1975, I took a 28 year break from writing short fiction. I worked on Minyan, published many non-fiction articles as well as Wild Heart Dancing. Then one morning I read of a short story contest sponsored by one of the local weeklies in nearby Charlottesville, Virginia, and the voice of a writing angel spoke up within me, saying, “I can do that. I can write a story.” I dashed off Schneiderman in a few days, sent it in, and was named runner-up. it appeared in the July 2003 issue of The Hook. You can read it on their website.
